Most new people who try article marketing generally give up before having any success.  If that’s you it’s time to get back in the game.  If you know what you are doing, article marketing can be a very inexpensive, yet profitable, form of online advertising.

My article marketing interest was rekindled when I saw a fantastic webinar hosted by a guy named David Wood.  David is a top income earner in the MLSP community and like many other net-workers he failed miserably when he first started.  But he was able to develop a strategy using article marketing that has allowed him to generate over 630 leads in a one month period.  Currently he averages between 30 and 50 leads per day.

Some people may argue that article marketing takes to much time.  They may say that paid advertising though expensive, gets better results and is faster. This is true in the short run.  But there is a difference.  Although paid advertising produces almost immediate results, when you stop paying the results immediately stop, and if you are inexperienced it can cost you a great deal of money.  Article marketing, on the other hand, takes a little more time and energy on your part, but when it begins to produce results they continue for months and even years to come.

In this webinar, David explain his for step article marketing process.  This system, if you will, gets your articles indexed quickly and drives tons of targeted leads to whatever offer you may have.  There are three components of this strategy: Social Book marking, Video Promotion and Article marketing.

So what is this super secret process you might ask.  It’s quite simple:

Step one:
Create your original article. Whatever you are promoting create an article that will solve some problem for whatever your niche market may be.

Step two:
Bookmark your article using Onlywire.com.  Onlywire is a free social bookmarking plug in for wordpress.

Step three:
Promote your content using video sharing. Youtube is one of the largest sites on the internet so create a quick video promoting your article with a link back to your original article.

Step four:
Submit articles to promote your original article. Simply put create another article or two from your original article and submit that to as many article directories and content sites as you can. Make sure that in the resource box for these articles you link back to your original article.

The strategy is to produce as many pieces of content as you can linking back to your original article in order to increase it’s visibility on the web.  So be sure that all of your promotions link back to your original work and from there add a link to your offer.

Well, that’s it!  Once you have done this, just rinse and repeat on a regular basis. Make it a daily practice.  Like any thing else in internet marketing consistency will be your biggest ally.

Some people wonder how to make money with article marketing. You hear all the hype and stories of Internet marketers making big money with article marketing and what the same success. There are a lot of myths and truths about the act of writing articles for article directories. Here is some of the reasoning behind article marketing;  Write optimized articles, submit them to multiple websites and wait for the cash to come flowing in. Well, I have some news for you; it is not that simple! In this article, I will put myths to rest about article marketing and show you how to truly earn money writing articles for the web! Article marketing gains instant results. This is one of the biggest lies made about article marketing.

Yes, it is true that anyone can learn how to make money with article marketing. The fact of the matter is, you will need to do more to get the results. Because many article directories have different publishing times (some take a longer time than others to review and publish your article), the traffic can come in spurts. You will need constant traffic in order to make sales online. This is a must! So, since most article directories check your articles that you publish with them around the same time, then you will need to choose no more than 10 article directories to submit your articles to. You will also have to optimize those articles so that you get the best results in the search engine. This means choosing low competition keywords and placing them in the title and tags to get mega-traffic.

A lot of people don’t know how to go about this, which is why article marketing doesn’t prove to be effective. Does Bum marketing still work?  This is the question that people have been asking on how to make money with article marketing. The short answer is, yes. Bum marketing still works, but not the way it use to. You can’t just blast your article to 500 article directories using article submission software and expect results. Just check the Internet for the number of people claiming bum marketing doesn’t work anymore. This is because they are using software that is blasting their articles to too many article directories.

There are three problems with this. The more of the same articles you have on the net, the faster it will take Google to find those duplicate articles. They will de-index each one until only the first one published is left. Submitting the same article to multiple directories can cause you to have too many backlinks. Google will think any website look suspicious if your backlinks reach more than 50 per day. They will then start to delete or backlinks from the search engines one by one. Plus, you will need to change the title of each article with every submission to the article directory.

Your anchor text will also need to be changed around.  So, as you can see, you will need to choose only 10 high page rank article directories to submit your articles to. You will also need to change around your anchor text along with the title of your articles with each submission. So bum marketing still works, but you will need to use directories that all submit around the same time. This is how to make money with article marketing.
