Are you spending lots of time writing articles but get little in the way of results? This is quite common as people begin to market articles for the first time. The key to getting page views with your articles lies in the title. The title represents the advertising copy for your article, and, for the most part, it is the only advertising that your article will get. So, if you are not getting a substantial number of page views, maybe your titles need work.

A great article can generate thousands of page views in a relatively short time from a single article directory. This is the goal you should shoot for. Many people mistakenly believe that article marketing success is achieved through the number of directories you submit to. They think that the more directories you submit your articles to, the more traffic you will generate. This is not true. Article marketing success is measured by the number of page views your article generates.

The single most important part of your article is the title. Most people spend a half hour or more writing the body of the article and then, in a hurry to get done, they take just a minute or two and slap a poorly thought out title on it and begin submitting it.

This is just the opposite of what should be done. A much better strategy for article marketing success is to spend twenty minutes writing the article and spend half an hour on coming up with a great title.

When creating a title, consider the subject of your article and the audience that it will attract. Then ask yourself, ‘What is the number one factor that people interested in your subject want to achieve?’ Then slant your title in that area to play on your audience’s number one goal in that area.

Many people develop a title and then write the article. I prefer to write the article first and then come up with a great title. Using this method, I sometimes have to re-write portions of the article to represent what I have promised in the title/ But the re-write is almost always worth the extra effort. Your title must reflect what is discussed in your article, otherwise you will alienate readers.

To generate thousands of page views with your articles, spend some time on the title. It is well worth the extra time and effort.

Article marketing is once again taking the Internet marketing world by storm. It is a very powerful way of generating targeted traffic to your website. Best of all, the traffic is free. It is also a great way to create blacklinks to your sites from blogs and other places where your article may be posted. This is needed by the search engines to rank you high. However, viral characteristic of article marketing is what makes it more important to anyone interested in doing business online.

Imaging the amount of traffic you will receive from all these article directories and blogs where your articles are been used! Remember, the people coming from these sites are highly qualified and targeted. They are interested in your article and whatever you are offering. If you are sell a product or services, this could turn into high conversation. Include videos with your article marketing; watch your sales go through  the roof.

Video marketing unlike its article marketing counterpart is easier to connect with viewers. A lot of people prefer to watch video over reading paragraph after paragraph of literature. Times are changing and video is becoming increasingly popular. Don’t agree? Type anything on Google and see videos showing up on its first page. Try YouTube and be surprise about the amount of information you will find. With video distributing sites like tube mogul and Traffic geyster, you can send your video to many sites thus increase your visibility and traffic.

The best part is that you can combine these two powerful marketing strategies and put your online business on steroids. This could be done by converting your articles into talking articles. If you can copy paste and click, you can use this software. It will also post your video to over 17 video sites. Check to see what I’m talking about.
